AL_Mawaqit.

**************************

AL_Mawaqit are two sections:

1_temporal:

 And it is the months of hajj.

"Shoals, Dhul al_Qada, and Dhul al_hajjah".

2_locational:

And it is the one who want hajj or umrah should do ihram from it,

which is five:

*Dhul- Hulaifa.

It is the Miqat of the people of Medina and those who passed through it, and is about 420 kilometers from Mecca, and is the furthest Miqat from Mecca.

* Al-Juhfah.

It is the Miqat of the people of Sham, Turkey, Egypt, Morocco and those who have been through it, a village near Rabigh, which is about 186 kilometers from Mecca, and people are now ihram of Rabigh, which is located west of it.

* Yalamlam.

And it is the Miqat of the people of Yemen and who ever saw her or went through it, and Yalamlam is a valley about 120 km from Mecca, now called Saadia.

* Qarn-al-Manazil.

And it is the Miqat of the people of Najd and Taif and those who have been through it, and he is now famous for the great torrent between him and Mecca about 75 kilometers.

* Dhat Irq.

And it is the Miqat of the people of Iraq and who ever saw it or went through it, and it's a valley called al_dariba, between them and Mecca about 100 kilometers, and whoever was his house without AL_Mawaqit from the side of Mecca was ihram from it.

* A brief book of Islamic jurisprudence in the light of the Qur'an and sunnah*

SheikhMohammed Abn Saleh al-Athimin said:

And if he is on his way to the right or north of these Mawaqit, he's done ihram if he follows the nearest Miqat from him, so if he doesn't follows Miqat like the people of Suaken in Sudan and those who pass through their path are doing ihram from Jeddah, It is not permissible for those who have been through these Mawaqit and he wants hajj or umrah to be exceeded except mahram, So if he is in the plane and he wants hajj or umrah, he had to do the ihram if he took the Miqat off from him, He prepares and wears ihram clothes before the miqat are aligned, so if he is follow it to hold the intention of ihram immediately, It is not permissible for him to delay him to land in Jeddah, because that is an abuse of the limits of Allah, and who passed the Mawaqit and he does not want hajj or umrah, then he seemed to him to do hajj or umrah so he must do ihram of the place where he's determined to do it, because in the two correct Abn Abbas's hadith "God bless them" in mentioning Mawaqit, And who is without it, from where he was raised, and if he passes through these Mawaqit, he does not want hajj or umrah, but he wants Mecca for another purpose, such as asking for knowledge, visiting a relative, treating a disease, trading or so on.

He does not have to do anything about it if he has performed the obligatory duty, to the previous hadith of Abn Abbas and in it:

" So, these are the Mawaqit for all those living at those places, and besides them for those who come through those places with the intention of performing Hajj and Umrah".

His understanding is that those who don't want them don't have to do it.

* Al-Athimin*

*About Abn Abbas "god bless them":

"That the messenger of god "peace be upon him" had fixed Dhul Hulaifa as the Miqat for the people of Medina; Al-Juhfah for the people of Sham; and Qarn Ul-Manazil for the people of Najd; and Yalamlam for the people of Yemen. So, these (above mentioned) are the Mawaqit for all those living at those places, and besides them for those who come through those places with the intention of performing Hajj and Umrah and whoever lives within these places should assume Ihram from his dwelling place, and similarly the people of Mecca can assume ihram from Mecca".

Agreed on it.

*AL_DORR*

" For the people of Medina Dhul-Hulaifa is the place for entering upon the state of Ihram, and for (the people coming through the other way, i.e. Syria) it is Juhfah; for the people of Iraq it is Dhat al-'Irq; for the people of Najd it is Qarn (al-Manazil) and for the people of Yemen it is Yalamlam".
